Privacy policyUpdated 28 October 2026

Your data and this website.

stackwith.me is operated by Joel Ryan, an independent software builder in India. This page describes the site code and the services used by its optional features. Questions and privacy requests can be sent to privacy@stackwith.me.

Reading the field notes

You can read the articles without an account. The search filter and article worksheets run in your browser. Their inputs are not submitted to an analytics or calculation service. Fonts and article assets are served with the site.

The site code does not install Google Analytics. Hosting and delivery providers can receive ordinary request information, such as IP address, requested URL, browser headers, and request time, as part of serving a page. The repository includes a GitHub Pages deployment workflow; provider processing and retention are governed by the relevant service arrangements and policies.

Browser storage

Interactive projects can save preferences and progress in localStorage. This is browser storage, not necessarily a cookie. Examples include sound choices, game mode and loadout, Lab progress, and reading preferences. These values remain until the application changes them or you clear site data.

Optional Supabase sign-in can store a session in your browser to keep you signed in. Account-related requests send the necessary session information to the service. Public community features can display the profile or entries you choose to submit; do not place private information in public fields.

Clearing this site’s browser data can remove preferences, local progress, and saved sign-in state. It does not automatically delete records already stored by an account service. Contact us if you need help with account data rather than only local storage.

Advertising and consent

Advertising is disabled in this version. The page contains an AdSense publisher-verification meta tag, and the site publishes an ads.txt record for ca-pub-7262404901375077. Those records do not, by themselves, load advertising scripts or set advertising cookies.

A legacy axon-consent browser value may remain from an earlier version. This site no longer treats that custom-banner choice as permission to load ads or as a certified consent record. The old banner is not shown in this version.

If advertising is enabled later, the applicable consent choices and partner disclosures must be configured before serving it. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar identifiers to select ads, limit repetition, measure delivery, and detect abuse. Non-personalized advertising is not a promise that no cookies or identifiers are used.

Google’s use of advertising cookies can enable it and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this and other sites. You can manage Google ad personalization at My Ad Center. Read how Google uses information from partner sites for its handling of data when its services are active.

Email and contact forms

The contact page’s form opens your email application. It does not submit the message to a form server or guarantee delivery. If you send the email, the information you include is handled by your email provider and the recipient’s email service so the enquiry can be answered. Avoid sending passwords, secret keys, or payment-card details.

Optional projects and third-party services

Following an external link or using an embedded service subjects that interaction to the provider’s own policy. Reading an article does not require using the supporter checkout or signing in to a project.

Requests, retention, and choices

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal information, or to object to certain uses. Contact privacy@stackwith.me with enough information to identify the relevant account or enquiry. Identity verification may be needed before account data can be disclosed or changed.

Information needed for an enquiry, account, transaction, legal obligation, or security investigation may be retained for the relevant purpose. There is no single deletion period shared by every external provider. Browser data can be cleared locally; provider-held records require the applicable account or support process.

The site is not intended to collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted such information, contact the privacy address so the issue can be investigated. Where applicable, you can also contact your local data protection authority.

Policy changes

Material changes to this description update the date above. This revision removed an inaccurate Google Analytics disclosure, distinguished localStorage from cookies, and clarified that publisher verification and advertising consent are separate.
